It’s meant to be the Hollywood sign falling over to reveal the world “lol” but…look at how those words line up and look at how the word Hollywood is spelt. It’s probably just a poster to let fans of the duo know that this movie is happening but it doesn’t talk about the story of the movie (which we’ll get to in a moment) and that “LOL” joke in the background makes no sense. I would expect something like that for an independent film distributor…but this is being distributed by Lionsgate. The other day a Poster for the movie was unveiled and today we got our first trailer. This year we’re getting ‘ Smosh: The Movie‘. But Smosh have not entered the feature-film arena until now.

However, despite being one of the biggest channels they were not the first to get a movie. They’ve been creating weekly content online, growing in size and for a time they were the most subscribed channel on the whole site (at time of writing their subscriber-base is at 20.6 million). “Smosh”, the YouTube channel led by the comedy duo Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla started 10 years ago this year and was one of the first major breakout successes of the revolutionary distribution platform.
